Crossing Guards are needed at Harding Elementary School in Mason City.

The yard waste collection season will begin Monday, April 1, 2024. Residents may set out yard waste and tree branches on the day of garbage pick-up.

On Friday, April 26 from 5-7 pm the MacNider Art Museum will be hosting another session of MacNider: Off the Clock. Visitors can mingle with friends and coworkers as they explore the galleries and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the MacNider. This is a great opportunity to view the “Area Show: 49” exhibition in the Kinney-Lindstrom Gallery.

Walk MS Mason City is Saturday April 27th at Southbridge Mall in Mason City. Program starts at 9:15 AM with the walk following at 9:30 AM. Walk MS 2024 includes a powerful new experience where you’ll witness how your support changes the lives of people with MS and gets us closer to our ultimate goal: a cure.

Rockin in Rock Falls for Relay For Life on Saturday April 27th. Family friendly event. Come out and enjoy live music all evening, great food and hundreds of $1 raffle prizes. All proceeds raised goes to the American Cancer society.

Come support those with Down Syndrome by dancing the night away and do some fundraising at Dancing For Downs at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake on Saturday April 27th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

The Habitat for Humanity of North Central Iowa's "Community Build-a-thon" will raise money to provide safe and affordable housing for families in need throughout North Iowa, as well as support area restaurants and businesses with local gift cards and merchandise as prizes.
