…Strong Wind Causing Drifting Snow Across Northern Iowa…

A southwest wind between 15 and 25 mph sustained with gusts between 35 and 45 mph is producing some drifting snow across northern Iowa. The snow is not reducing visibility however, it is blowing across roadways and partially melting which can cause slick spots and be hazardous to travelers. Slow down and allow extra space between yourself and the car ahead of you. Snow covered roads and black ice are all possible. The wind will diminish later this afternoon.
