Mason City man sentenced to three years for assisting with sale of stolen gun
MASON CITY — A Mason City man has been sentenced to three years in federal prison for assisting with the sale of a stolen gun.
46-year-old Amador Ramos pleaded guilty last December to one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, admitting that he arranged for the sale of a stolen firearm. Federal prosecutors say in May 2017, a Thompson residence was burglarized with seven firearms being stolen, with Joshua Rudnicki, Kyle Krug and Daniel Solano being involved in the theft of the firearms. A previously convicted felon, Ramos admitted to assisting Krug with the sale of one of the stolen firearms.
US District Judge CJ Williams on Friday sentenced Ramos to 39 months in prison to be followed by a three-year term of supervised release.
Rudnicki, Krug and Solano were all sentenced in September.
