Mason City Public Library Author Visit on Saturday January 27th at 2:00 PM. Darcy Maulsby the author of "The Lincoln Highway in Iowa: A History" will be in the Mason City Room at the Library for a visit.

Mason City Newman Catholic presents "Singing Valentine's". Newman students will sing a song of choice and deliver a rose and chocolates to someone special with in the Mason City area for $35. Delivered on Wednesday February 14th from 11 AM to 3 PM in Mason City. Orders are being taken now through February 12th at 3 PM.

Mason City Public Library: The Jefferson Highway. Kathy Hotchkiss grew up on a farm NW of Hampton, the oldest of 4 daughters of Howard and Melba Muhlenbruch. Her interest in the Jefferson Highway, the topic of her presentation, began when her family learned that the old metal sign Howard unearthed on the farm in 1955 marked the original route of the JH’s predecessor, the Interstate Trail.
