DES MOINES, IOWA (April 26, 2024) – LifeServe Blood Center donors are true life  savers! When blood donors roll up their sleeves, it only takes one hour to donate one  pint of blood, which will save the lives of up to three local hospital patients.  

Join us for the New Horizons Band Spring Concert tomorrow May 14 at 4 PM at The Music Man Square. The Mason City Foundation will be providing free hot fudge sundaes following the concert in honor of Meredith Willson’s birthday week.

MASON CITY, IA — May is National Mental Health Awareness Month and local organizations are working  together to spread the message. The Mason City Chamber, Community Health Center of Mason City, City of  Mason City, and CG Public Health are hosting Mason City’s “Make It OK” Walk on Thursday, May 16 to raise  awareness and end the stigma associated with mental health.

The Mason City library is promoting mental health awareness throughout the month with a display in the first floor of the book stacks and free information packets including an awareness button near the main desk.
