United Way Kid’s Shoe Drive 👟

At the United Way, we are in full swing of our annual Kid’s Athletic Shoe Drive.

To many, a pair of new athletic shoes is just an addition to the back-to-school supply shopping. Nothing more than an annual update but to some, it is a goal, something to take pride in and care for.

Hundreds of children in north Iowa live below the poverty line. Priorities such as food and rent take priority over new school shoes, so many bright young children never get the joy of putting on a brand-new pair of school shoes. Many wear shoes that are too small or too big, or shoes that are broken and worn out.

Giving a child in need a new pair of school shoes is a simple way we as a community can build in them a sense of pride and hope. Children grow strong when the adults around them build them up.  Let’s be those grown-ups!

Please consider dropping a pair off at our office or at any of the box locations below.  You can also donate to the Kid’s Shoe Drive. Funds raised go directly to purchasing new shoes for kids. Please join us by giving today!
