March 28 @ 7:00 am - 9:00 am
Chamber’s Ag Breakfast Set and Award Nominations OpenÂ
MASON CITY, IA – The Chamber’s Ag Breakfast will be held from 7-9AM on Thursday, March 28 in the All Seasons Building at the North Iowa Events Center. Breakfast will begin at 7:30AM with made-to-order omelets served up by the Chamber’s Agribusiness Committee volunteers.
Mitchell Hora, Founder and CEO of Continuum Ag, will serve as the keynote speaker. Mitchell is a passionate 7th-generation farmer from Washington County, Iowa. Mitchell founded Continuum Ag in 2015 to help farmers quantify and improve their soil health. The company’s TopSoil Tool helps farmers garner agronomic insights and profit from environmental outcomes, like carbon intensity scores. Since launching TopSoil in 2020, Continuum Ag has amassed a footprint of 42 states and 20 countries and now houses the largest, private soil health database. The market efforts have expanded across thousands of US farms, across a growing dealer network, and strategically with Continuum enterprise customers, including Rabo Agrifinance. Continuum Ag is working with farmers, consultants and agribusinesses to design a unique plan that logistically and economically advances their soil health efforts. For his efforts, Mitchell has been named to the AgGrad 30 Under 30 list and to the Forbes Under 30 list.Â
In addition to the traditional Ag Breakfast format, the Chamber and KGLO will honor an outstanding farmer and an area FFA student. The Ag Breakfast will be completely free to attend thanks to generous sponsors. The Chamber’s Agribusiness Committee wants to ensure anyone interested in learning more about Iowa agriculture is able to attend free of charge. Attendees can connect with sponsors during the breakfast at their company booths.Â
The Mason City Area Chamber of Commerce is a membership-based organization with a mission to promote progressive community and economic development to benefit Chamber members and the North Iowa region.Â
