Clear Lake man accused of strangling woman

CLEAR LAKE — A Clear Lake man is in jail after being charged with assaulting and strangling a woman.
Authorities accuse 33-year-old Jacob Brager of taking a woman’s cell phone by force on October 21st and punching her with a closed fist. Brager allegedly then strangled the victim for 30 seconds and shoved her outside of a residence. The victim suffered injuries to her hands, wrists, lip and throat.
Brager has been charged with domestic abuse assault by impeding air and blood flow causing bodily injury. He was booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail this morning, where he’s being held without bond pending an appearance before a magistrate judge.
