In a heartening turn of events, authorities have announced that a child, who had been abducted in Louisiana, has been safely located in the neighboring state of Mississippi. The diligent efforts of the police have paid off, ensuring the well-being and security of the young child.

Ridgeland Police Chief Brian Myers revealed that his department was informed by the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) about a potential custodial kidnapping originating from Louisiana.

According to Myers, a vehicle matching the description was located by a Ridgeland officer, who then opted to wait for assistance from other units in order to avoid a chase.

According to Myers, the child is safe as the Ridgeland officers, along with the Madison police, successfully stopped the vehicle.
