19th Southwest in Mason City to be closed Wednesday morning

MASON CITY — A portion of a major road will be closed in Mason City on Wednesday.
19th Southwest will be closed to through traffic between South Pierce and South Benjamin. City officials say the closure is necessary for the repair of a Progressive Rail crossing. Work is expected to be completed on Wednesday and 19th Southwest re-opened to traffic later in the afternoon.
A detour will be signed prior to the closure, directing traffic up to 15th Southwest via South Pierce and Benjamin Avenues.
